Terms of Use

The short version

Gurn is a game. Play it, have fun, make clips. Don't try to break it, cheat the leaderboards, or use it to harm anyone. We provide it as-is and do our best to keep it working.

The deal

Gurn ("the app") is provided by Adam Kinney ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

License

Gurn grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which also govern your download and any purchases.

Purchases

Gurn is free to download. Optional in-app purchases are cosmetic — a Starter Pack (a cosmetic plus a coin head start), plus cosmetics you can buy with coins earned by playing — and are processed by Apple. Non-consumable items restore on a new device with Settings → Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy. Nothing purchasable affects your score or rank — no paid revives, no pay-to-win. There's no subscription.

Leaderboards & fair play

Leaderboards exist to be honest. Don't use modified clients, automation, or any exploit to post scores. We may remove scores or restrict access for accounts that tamper with the game or abuse the boards. Leaderboard integrity is non-negotiable.

Your recordings

The clips you record belong to you. You're responsible for what you do with them — only record and share in settings where you have the right to, and be mindful of anyone else who appears in frame.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from the app except as permitted by law; don't use Gurn to violate any law or anyone's rights; don't interfere with the app's operation or its services.

Disclaimer & liability

Gurn is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
